    Desiree Garcia

    Desiree Garcia, MA, LPCC, is the founder of YMCS and a board-certified Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping teens and young adults navigate life’s challenges. Serving Albuquerque, NM, since 2012, she launched her private practice in 2020 and expanded to a group practice in 2023. With expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Brainspotting, she is passionate about guiding clients through trauma, anxiety, and depression. Desiree believes in creating a safe, supportive space where individuals can process emotions, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward healing.

    Noel Kofoed

    Noel Kofoed, LPCC, brings 10+ of experience in the mental health field, with a foundation in working alongside individuals facing homelessness, trauma, loss, and violence. She strives to hold a trauma-focused lens, drawing on evidence-based practices including Brainspotting, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Noel is also actively training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to further support her clients on their healing journeys. She believes that therapy is most effective when it's tailored to the unique needs of each individual, balancing structure with a client-led approach. Outside of the office, she’s an outdoor enthusiast and animal lover who deeply values connection, dignity, and the inherent worth of every person.

    My name is Melissa Espinoza, and I am an Administrative Assistant and a Community Support Worker (CCSS). I have more than ten years of experience helping people. I have experience working in a range of places, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and hospitals, teen and adult outpatient facilities.  Helping people become independent and improve their general well-being is something I am very passionate about. Being a member of the You Matter . Supporting our clients in their times of need makes me happy and honored of our work.

    Christina Williams

    Christina Williams, MA, LMHC, is a board-certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a deep passion for helping others. Before becoming a therapist, she spent 14 years working in the nonprofit sector, gaining valuable experience in human services. An avid reader and crochet enthusiast, she brings curiosity and creativity into her work. Christina takes a multi-modal approach to therapy, honoring each client’s unique history and identity while integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with mindfulness practices. She understands that starting therapy takes courage and strives to meet each client with empathy, compassion, and a collaborative spirit.

    Yvonne Moghadam

    Yvonne Moghadam, MA, LMHC, is a compassionate and experienced therapist dedicated to helping individuals find peace and hope in life’s challenges. Born and raised in Albuquerque, she is a proud first-generation, bilingual (Spanish/English) counselor who has been serving the community since 2014. Yvonne works with teens and adults, providing a supportive space for healing and growth. She believes that everyone has the capacity to heal from past and present struggles. With training in Trauma-Informed Care, EMDR, ADHD treatment, substance use disorders, CBT, DBT, grief and loss, postpartum depression, and more, she tailors her approach to meet each client’s unique needs.

    Abby Rosas-Saldaña

    Abby Rosas-Saldaña, LMSW, is a Licensed Master of Social Work with over a decade of experience empowering children, adolescents, and teens, particularly within vulnerable populations such as the unhoused, LGBTQ+ community, and those facing domestic violence. Raised in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Abby embraces her Mexican-American heritage and is dedicated to providing inclusive, trauma-informed care. She uses a variety of therapeutic approaches, including CBT and strengths-based methods, to support her clients in their unique healing journeys.

    Leslie Ortega

    Leslie Ortega is currently an intern in the Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at New Mexico Highlands University. Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, she has established her home in Albuquerque. Leslie utilizes a person-centered therapeutic approach in her practice and integrates various methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, play therapy, and art therapy, to support her clients effectively. Additionally, she is committed to trauma-informed care and is particularly interested in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In her personal time, Leslie enjoys engaging in activities with her daughter and her two Boston Terrier dogs. She also practices reading and painting as a means of mindfulness here.

    Natasha Lucero

    Natasha Lucero, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker who enjoys supporting young adults, adults, and military populations. She brings over five years of experience working with the military community and uses evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and strengths-based interventions. Natasha is passionate about helping clients build resilience, enhance their self-concept, and create lasting, meaningful change. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and exploring vintage films.

    Victoria Pallas

    As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with a Master of Science (MS) degree, I bring extensive experience working across the lifespan, specializing in early intervention and therapeutic support for infants, children, and adolescents. My background includes significant work with organizations such as CYFD (Children, Youth, and Families Department), equipping me with deep expertise in supporting clients with complex needs.

    My practice is built on an integrative approach, utilizing evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. My primary goal is to empower clients of all ages to achieve their highest potential, cultivate better self-worth, and become their best selves.

    In my free time, I prioritize my well-being by enjoying the outdoors and spending quality time with my family.

  • Gabrielle Marquez

    Gabrielle is a therapist who believes healing comes through creative expression, connection, and mindfulness. She draws from expressive arts, play therapy, and body-based practices, integrating talk therapy techniques as needed. She is currently completing certifications in Geek Therapy and Sandtray Therapy.

    She provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore what’s causing distress or holding you back, working with acute or chronic challenges, including religious, developmental, and family-related experiences. She is especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism, helping them build acceptance, self-understanding, and life satisfaction. She also enjoys working with parents and caregivers, offering prenatal and early childhood parenting support.

    Her goal is to help clients gain insight, practical tools, and regulation skills so they can feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned with their authentic selves.

  • Mark Gomez

    Mark Gomez, LMSW; has been working in the mental health as a clinical social worker while providing services towards a variety of different demographics including those with different levels of trauma, depression, anxiety along with other related diagnoses. Mark has experience providing modalities of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivation interviewing (MI) as well as valuing a mindfully centered therapy experience to assist clients in achieving their goals. Mark’s approach to therapy uses evidence based practice while catering to each client’s individual needs. Mark values a collaborative approach to all clients while aiming to empower clients in their skills usage to improve their emotional well being.

    In Mark’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, their four cats as well as seeing live music, and hiking.
